Cheers to everyone who's been emailing me and wondering if there's any gigs coming up. Am currently recording album no.2 so no exciting gigs in the coming weeks (yet).
We just did a very cool show at the TOFF in TOWN, here in melbourne in October. We've now got a new guitarist and trying out some samples live. Its quite exciting really.
Working on lots of new songs in the studio so stay tuned for further announcements. Am quite excited about the upcoming release and i hope you will be too. In the meantime, you can sign on to our mailing list (on the website) to keep in touch. See ya all soon....xo sophie

Was in Darwin last tuesday doing my last support for Pete Murray, then headed over to Nirvana to watch their tuesday night jam sessions. I know i keep saying this..but i miss the tropics! Having meals outdoors, 360deg ocean views and peace and quiet. Managed to get squeeze into my 2 days up north, a visit to Parliament house to watch a sitting of parliament and also managed to sneak myself into the Falconio trial while Murdoch was on the stand. Fascinating.

I'm sitting in an internet cafe in Adelaide, just hopped off the plane from Hobart this morning.
Did a good gig at Uni of Tassie in Hobart last night, with the boys from EPICURE headlining. It was our first ever gig in Tassie so thanks for those who came! Tonight, we are in adelaide. Its my last gig with Epicure for their national tour.. we have also been to fremantle, bunbury, marg river in the last few weeks etc...perth was just fantastic. And i have to say thanks to Juan, Tim, Dan, Heath and Dom from EPICURE for being fantastic touring buddies and some SMOOOTH fingerlicking playing on stage...and i'll never look at ducks the same way again.;-) Cheers guys.

I supported The Eels in brisbane on wednesday...although it was only a 5 song solo set...had a great time playing to an attentive full house..thanks guys. i must say, the Tivoli in Brisbane must be my favourite venue in Australia! ..the eels were fantastic...one of my most memorable concert experiences for a long time. Highlights of their set included...their suitcase kickdrum and their dildo shaker...yeap. As everyone was leaving when the encores finished, the house lights came on ...a few minutes later...the Eels came on stage again dressed in their pyjamas ! and played another 2 songs...with the house lights still on ...unreal. Managed to squeeze myself and a few of my band onto the guest list for their followup show in Melbourne's Hamer Hall on Friday.
What can i say....i am in love with 'The Chet'..yeap, forget Beyonce Knowles...i wanna BE 'the chet'. Gonna love a guy who can jump from playing the piano, to the stomp box, to the saw, to the guitar like that..all elegantly dressed in a suit. E, Big Al, and the Chet...and the ladies on strings...thanks!

For those who don't know already, i'm a big fan of the Finn Brothers and i just got hold of the 'She Will Have Her Way' FINN tribute album that came out today. Having a listen right now as i type and its just great. I've been intrigued from the start when i was asked to be part of the project (i sang 'Charlie' by Split Enz on this compilation) about what the artists would do and how they would interpret each song...
