DARWIN FESTIVAL CLUB:
Did a solo set at the opening night of the Darwin Festival yesterday night. They shipped a 'StarShell' stage from the Adelaide festival and the vibe was amazing. There were 'survivor' style oil lanterns lining the Darwin Botanic Gardens all the way from the entrance to the stage and specially erected water fountains, very amazon style settings complete with a full outdoor bar! Chinese Lanterns lined the 100 year old trees all along the driveway into the gardens. Plus it was totally FREE as its the Festival Club so people come here after their shows and relax. Plus..it was 11pm when i started my set and there was at least 100 people there, outdoors, enjoying the Darwin lifestyle...and it was only a Weeknight!....including Murph Hughes the cricketer who was in town for the Bulldogs vs Port Adelaide game.
Xavier Rudd will be playing at this venue next week. Can't wait.
