28/09/03 - My band and I played the Darwin Festival Press Launch today. This was our first public performance together as a band and we rocked! We only played a 30 min set but it was great to put all that rehearsal into sweat. Jeremy Conlon (bass) and Lucas Bendel (drums) seemed to have a good time. The song "Fall into Space" seemed to be a hit with the 80-100 strong crowd. The popular NT band, Neo (Lucas is the drummer for them too), headlined after us. Spotted a few familiar faces, NT politicians and local celebrities. Nobody knew who we were - "Sophie Who???". "Are you guys from Darwin??". For those living in Darwin, come one down to 10 Litchfield (venue of the Darwin Festival Club) during the Festival.
