Darwin Fringe Festival - Bamboo Lounge
The Darwin Fringe Festival is rollin on. Lukas (drums), Jeremy (bass)
and I (guitar/vocals) played a short but sweet gig in the outdoor
stage by Browns Mart Theatre. There were other musos playin throughout
the night and we didn't get on stage till 11.30. But it was a good
live sound (wish we had a video camera), we're getting tighter.
Seemed to have 'wowed' the crowd. People still don't believe we're living in Darwin.
I love playing outdoors. I've bought a pre-amp for my acoustic
guitar which seems to be getting rid of that previously 'tingy'
top end sound. Got lots of positive feedback but there's always
lots of stuff you find you need to improve and you only find that out when you perform live.
Special mention to the night's groupies - Nat, Rach and Andrew.
